ABOUT SRI
Space Renaissance International (SRI) is an NGO non-profit organization with a global membership. Our mission is to get humanity off-world, not just astronauts engaged in pioneering exploration but humanity en masse. We work for the establishment of a multi-planetary Solarian society, with long-term aspirations for humanity to become an interstellar civilization. Our main effort is targeted to help some first meaningful steps for Civilian Space Development to take place before 2030, e.g. to accelerate everything needed to allow untrained civilians to travel and live in outer space. SRI is working at U.N. COPUOS and ECOSOC, proposing an 18th SDG focused on Space (as the very key factor of sustainability) to be added to the 17 Sustainable Development goals of the 2030 Agenda. SRI is engaged as well to amend the U.N 2030 Space Agenda, adding Civilian Space Development and Space Settlement, which are completely absent in the current version.
