I believe that many publishers, media, and space outreach entities are receiving our SRI newsletters and press releases.
SRI is fully engaged in the camapign to add an 18th SDG, focused on civilian space development, to the U.N. 2030 Agenda for sustainable development.
We also initiated a critical review of the U.N. Space 2030 Agenda, issued in 2021, aimed to propose amendments, coverening the key missing issues, space settlemet for first.
SRI, together with our partners, and the Space 18th SDG Coalition, will hold several initiatives during the 2nd semester of 2024 and 2025, e.g.
- 19 September 2024, an hybrid workshop at U.N. Plaza 777, NYC "2025, a crucial year to review both the U.N. 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Space 2030 Agenda"
- a big presence at IAC 75, Milan, 14-18 October 2024
- participation at COPUOS 2025 meetings, Technical and Legal Subcommittees, 68th General Assembly
- tracks organization at NSS ISDC, Orlando June 2025
- organization of the workshop "Living in Space", in partnership SRI-ACES, Hawaii, July 2025
- participation at U.N. General Assembly 80th. 2025
- participation at IAC 76, Sidney, October 2025
In all of the above, and other, initiatives, we aim to involve and inform the society at large, because we feel extremely urgent to do what nobody does: to let the people know the importance of civilian space development as the very key factor of a sustainable human development. And to make the first meaningful steps before 2030.
That's why we need many media partners, to make our campaigns to go viral, to attract the generalist media, and not only the specialist space media.
