L'arte contemporanea è ancora... Libertà o un simulacro?
R
E 'sempre difficile commentare l'arte contemporanea, uno scenario
molto vario, ampio e difficile da definire a livello globale.
Tuttavia, non v'è alcun dubbio nella mia mente che l'arte
contemporanea non è più interessata alle stesse “problematiche”
dominanti decenni fa. E 'chiaro che questa “arena” artistica
s'intreccia oggi con altri media che si tratti di moda, decorazione,
i social media e le nuove tecnologie. Il mio obiettivo nella
produzione d'arte è sempre stato quello di produrre lavori più
profondi, caratterizzati da metafore a più livelli che esprimono
temi universali: dove...tutte le culture possono identificarsi in
modo cosciente o subcosciente. Certamente, oggi, questi obiettivi
sono rari.

La Tua ricerca raggiunge l'anima dei giovani con grande forza, è
una ricerca nel buio che porta alla luce, le nuove coscienze sono
pronte?
R
E 'di cruciale importanza per me che la mia arte si incastoni...
nella mente subconscia, trasformandola ed espandendo la coscienza
delle persone . La maggior parte dell' arte contemporanea non è
focalizzata sulla trasformazione della mente subconscia. La mia arte
porta avanti si spera un “orizzonte semisconosciuto” per molte
persone, …. portare la luce nel/al buio...

Fin dall'inizio del Tuo lavoro fino ad oggi hai sempre avuto una
forte coerenza e determinazione, quale idea della vita ti ha spinto
in quella direzione?
R
E 'sempre difficile sapere se quel vivi è guidato da
eventi-esperienze o dalla genetica. Sarò sempre Roger ...Roger,
credo in fondo che sia una forza misterica generatrice della mia
Anima artistica e creativa.

Lei è uno dei più importanti fotografi artistici del mondo, Le
Chiedo: può l'arte rivoluzionare le carceri (Letterali o anche nel
senso esistenziale di Prigioni Invisibili?)?Che cosa sta cambiando?
R
Se l'arte può espandere la coscienza di una persona e dare loro un
senso arricchito di significato, allora è probabile che possa fare
certa Differenza per i prigionieri (reali o metaforici, dentro o
..fuori). Ci sono migliaia di “....prigioni in tutto il mondo”, e
nella maggior parte di questi luoghi, quelli strettamante in carcere
vivono un'esistenza terribile. Non sono molto ottimista
però
sul fatto che i cosiddetti programmi artistici nelle carceri (o
Arte-Terapia) siano attualmente attuati in alcun modo pratico e
significativo.

R It is always difficult to comment on Contemporary Art as the field is diverse, wide, and difficult to globally define. Nevertheless, there is no doubt in my mind that Contemporary Art is no longer concerned with the same issues that were dominated the field decades ago. It is clear that this arena is interweaved with other medias whether it be fashion, decoration, social media and new technologies. My goal in producing art has always been to produce deeper, layered metaphors expressing universal issues that all cultures can identify with in a conscious or subconscious way. Certainly this is no longer the case.
D Your research reaches the soul of young people with great strength, it is a search in the darkness that brings to light, the new consciences are ready?
R It is of crucial importance to me that my art embeds itself in the subconscious mind, transforming it and expanding the persons consciousness. Most of contemporary art is not focused on transformation of the subconscious mind. My art hopefully brings forth a place to many people that they have been fundamentally unaware of, bringing light to dark.
D From the beginning of your work up to today you have always had a strong coherence and determination, what idea of your life has pushed you in that direction?
R It is always difficult to know whether ones live is driven by events or genetics. I will always be Roger to Roger and I guess the conclusion would be that some mysterious force was responsible for creating my core.
D You are one of the most important artistic photographers in the world, I ask you: can art still make a revolution in our prisons? What is changing?
R If art can expand a person's consciousness and given them a enriched sense of meaning then it is likely to make a difference to prisoners. There are thousands of prisons all over the world, and in most of these places those in jail live an awful existence. I am not very optimistic that artistic programs in prisons will be implemented in any practical, meaningful way.
