Zhao Yiqian is  the winner of the 2010  Online Award. The Chinese artist conquered the  inTERNet population with the artwork  "There is, there isn’t time". Born and raised in Beijing, the young artist (1982),  one of the rising starts of the Guanghua Art Space of the Heiqiao Village, Cuigezhuang, won over 3 thousand participants capturing the paradox of our time on the canvas..  "The creation of the clock – explained Zhao Yiqian in the artwork’s statement- introduced the paradigm of  precisely calculating time.  Since I was a child, I would watch my father who would adjust the clocks every day, but the clocks in those days distinguished themselves only by brands, the internal parts instead were all of the same size and this was due to the objective limited production means of those times.  They were easy to make and easy to repair.  The same could be said for most of the people belonging to my father’s generation who received the same type of education, shared the same life experiences, wore the same clothes and had the same heart.  Following incessant progress -he added- time passed  with the same regularity, while society began to change in a very irregular way”.  Simplicity and rigor awarded his stylistic research and captured the web community’s attention that from October 12-19 participated massively in the online voting (nearly 37 thousand active users).  The week was confirmed as the most explosive for the number of visitors to the TP03 website . The web traffic definitely reached its peak:  nearly 132 thousand online users, a number of pages visited equal to approximately 1 million and 500 thousand.
